I’ve put out an 8-page PDF entitled “How to Stay Ahead of the Zeitgeist”.

The document deal with some subjects that I’m interested in: Quantum Physics, the Right Brain, the Collective Unconscious, using Intention. This is a brief document that combines my varied interests. Like, how can we stay ahead of the current trends? Our culture seems increasingly accelerated! The Zeitgeist is kind of like a stream of activity, motion, trends and it is wild and usually not predictable. We can’t see into the future, so the next best thing is probably to analyze the present, the cutting edge, see what’s sticky, make judgments and then make our move. It seems imperative to operate in this way.

I’ve been wrestling with the idea that my Right Brain is very important to fully utilize. A couple years back I was at Chapters perusing the usual sad assortment of mediocre design and art books that they offer. Then I got an idea. I needed to look outside of my profession to get some fresh perspective. I decided I’d go into the aisle that I would least likely enter: Science. I hated science in school and opted for art classes instead of taking biology, chemistry, or physics. I actually got away with taking a self-directed Art & Media program instead of the obligatory high school sciences. So this journey to the row of science books was a first for me. What was the first book I found? Leonard Shlain’s “Art & Physics”

I devoured the hefty analysis of art’s precognition of science’s search into and description of reality. I suddenly felt very strongly about understanding physics. And even more so, I felt the need to discover what was going on in the Right Brain. Somewhere in this hemisphere associated with art, music and poetry, lies the ability to transcend the barriers of time and fully understand reality. With a fully developed right hemisphere, could we effortlessly anticipate cultural, intellectual, and economical shifts in the zeitgeist?
